Allow extra processes to run

Log in to the Control Centre (https://cc.bulletproof.net/) using your username and password provided by Bulletproof. If you do not have a username and password, send an email to support@bulletproof.net requesting that one is set up for you.

From the menu on the left, select Update Process Fingerprint (under the Self Service heading)

You are asked to select a host to tune. Click on the service id of the host you would like tuned.

The additional process name should appear in the box at the top ('Extra: processname')

Under the heading Running Process, you will see the names of the running process(es) which are not in the configuration file, and checkboxes which allow you to select whether these processes should be Always Running (alerting you if they stop), Sometimes Running (they are allowed to run from time to time, but don't need to be always running), or Never Running (the default for processes not in the Processes Currently in Config File section.

To allow the extra process(es) to run, click the relevant radio under Always Running or Sometimes Running for each of the extra processes

Scroll down, and hit the Submit button

A confirmation screen appears (Screenshot). If you are happy with the result, hit the Confirm button

The resulting page should show no 'Extra' message at the top, and your new processes will be in the Processes Currently in Config File section with the relevant requirement of Always Running or Sometimes Running

Once you have submitted your changes, they will be presented back to you - you need to press COMMIT at this point otherwise the changes will not take effect.
